always known as Oz’s Girls. Tod has helped over 100 players achieve
their goal of playing college softball with many going on to play D-1.
Tod is also a professional hitting instructor and will be another valuable resource for our teams. Tod has plans to run some Sunday morning camps like he did with the Rockers
Blue Wave signed a 5 year lease for a 10,000 sq. ft. indoor training
facility at 2467 E. Laraway Road, New Lenox, IL. 60451 (off Gougar and
We hope to be in facility by September 1st 2014 (once new bathrooms and sprinklers are completed). There will be an 80' x 80' unobstructed infield (no poles) completely enclosed with nets allowing us to have full infield practice and play 6 on 6 games. In addition to the infield training area, the facility will have multiple 60' long cages for pitching and hitting.
As soon as we can set up the facility our players will be allowed access for additional training 7 days a week. All of our teams will receive the access code to their new facility and have the ability to use the facility whenever it’s not in use for team practices. The Wave Cave will not be rented to any other organization, allowing our players plenty of open gym time to accommodate many schedules.
The Blue Wave signed a new contract with Mokena Park District allowing us exclusive access to Grasmere South, which will have a temporary fence. We also have access to Grasmere North, Tuesday through Thursday and Saturday in September, October (2014), April and May (2015). This will allow us additional practice time until we can start using Lincoln-way East.
We also signed a contract giving us exclusive access to Mount Assisi High School field in Lemont.
These additional fields will allow our teams to have a set weekly practice schedule and practice or games on off weekends.
